I have worked as a bench scientist in medical research; I have been managing partner of a consulting company working with pharmaceutical companies; I have been EVP of a design/manufacturing/distribution company; I have created several new tech-oriented companies.

These experiences have generated in me an ability to dissect complex issues into workable parts, to understand both the business and science drivers of those issues and to recognize how the moving parts fit together.  I have developed a talent for explaining difficult issues in language that is understandable to people without technical training.

These essays attempt to look at the underlying assumptions we all make about issues that matter to us as citizens and human beings.
