Do you wonder where the most gun murders occur?
If you listen to politicians, it occurs “somewhere else”.
Here is the data from the CDC for the most recent years. The gun-related murder rates for people of all ages, recorded as murders per 100,000 people in the 50 largest metropolitan areas.
As you can see, the rates in Jacksonville and Miami are quite a bit higher than in New York City.
I have colored the cities based on how that state voted in the Presidential election, although most cities voted Democrat.
