I am curious as to the comments that the “election of Donald Trump as President of the US is a Godsend relative to the fate of Judaism with America led by Obama, Biden, or Harris.”
How so? You preface that comment with the low birthrate among Jews. Do you think Mr. Trump is helping increase that birth rate?
Mr. Mamdani may have a history of antisemitic statements, but perhaps you are unaware of some of the antisemitic actions of Mr. Trump, both in the past and currently.
Here are some examples:
- He has frozen the Nonprofit Security Grant Program, designed to protect synagogues, Jewish day schools, community centers, etc. from attack.
- He has cancelled funding for efforts to fight hate crimes against Jewish Americans, including on College campuses.
- He plans to eliminate the role of Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism.
- He has ended DHS programs designed to prevent lone-wolf terrorist attacks like those carried out at the Capitol Jewish Museum.
- Even when Paul Ingrassia was shown to have said that he has a “Nazi streak”, Trump has allowed him to remain in his current White House role.
- He appointed Kingsley Wilson, a known spreader of antisemitic conspiracy theories to press secretary at the DOD, despite condemnation form the Jewish community.
- Promoting his Big Beautiful Bill Act, on July 4th this year, he said that “No going to banks and borrowing from, in some cases, a fine banker – and in some cases, shylocks and bad people.”
- “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are little, short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”
- He tweeted an image of Hillary Clinton’s face atop a pile of cash next to a Star of David and the phrase, “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!”
- He released an ad featuring prominent Jewish people with a voiceover about them being part of a “global power structure” that has “robbed our working class…and stripped our country of its wealth”.
- He has continually endorsed and praised Nick Fuentes.
- He has denied that Chuck Schumer is really Jewish.
- He has Jewish Grandchildren, but on Rosh Hashanah he played golf. Did he go to a seder with his grandchildren? No, he played golf.
- According to his first wife Ivana, Mr. Trump kept a book of Hitler’s speeches beside his bed.
