SCOTUS RULES THAT THE PRESIDENT CANNOT BE PROSECUTED FOR ANY “OFFICIAL” ACT WHILE IN OFFICE

Trump, Trump Imperialism and Autocracy, Trump Politics

  1. SCOTUS rules that a President cannot be prosecuted for any “official act” while in office. Counsel representing Trump includes ordering the execution of an opponent
  2. DOJ insists that once a person being deported leaves the US air space, they cannot be stopped by a US court.
  3. DOJ and the White House claim that once inside an El Salvador prison, there is nothing the US can do to affect their release because El Salvador is a sovereign nation.
  4. Mr. Trump says that this would also apply to US Citizens.

When can we expect AOC or Schumer or Schiff to be abducted by masked plain-clothed officers, placed on a plane and sent to El Salvador before any court can intervene?
